Meet the Sisters Behind The Greekery
We’re four sisters, Alexandra, Zoi, Evangelia, and Faye, proud Greek Americans with roots stretching across Corfu, Megalo Elefthero Horio, and Sparta. Our story begins on Mathraki, the tiny island off Corfu where our father grew up, a place with no rush, no noise, and flavors so honest they stayed with us our entire lives.
We grew up in New York in a home where food was never just food. It was identity, love, and tradition. Our parents ran Atlantis Coffee Shop, a classic NYC diner, and that is where we learned the rhythm of hospitality: early mornings, warm plates, familiar faces, and the belief that every customer should feel cared for. Those lessons shaped us long before we realized it.
Each of us brings a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a shared passion for Greek cuisine and culture. For years, we dreamed of creating something together, something that honored our family, our heritage, and the flavors we grew up with.
The Greekery is that dream. It is inspired not only by our childhood summers but by the simple magic of bakeries in Greece, the kind where you walk up to the window, grab a warm pastry, and feel instantly at home. Our goal is to bring that warmth, that familiarity, and that everyday joy to the Buffalo community we love.
